How to delete a subscription in CornerSpot

If you created a subscription by mistake, you can delete it. Deleting removes the subscription from your list and moves it to your team's Trash, where it can be restored. It's meant for entries created in error — when a real subscription has ended, it's better to cancel it so its historical invoices and reporting stay accurate.

How to delete a subscription in Cornerspot

Subscriptions live under Members & Billing in the left-hand menu. You can delete one from the list, or from the Advanced section of its detail page. Here's the quickest path, from the list.

1. Open the Subscriptions page

From the dashboard, select Subscriptions in the left-hand menu (under Members & Billing). Use the Search subscriptions… box to narrow the list to the one you want to remove — search matches the description, customer name, line items, and products.

2. Click the trash icon on its row

In the subscription's row, click the trash (Delete subscription) icon in the Actions column. You can also select several rows with the checkboxes and use the bulk Delete action, or open the subscription and use Delete in its Advanced section.

3. Review the confirmation

A confirmation dialog appears so you don't delete anything by accident. It previews exactly what will be removed. (If a subscription has already generated an invoice, the dialog tells you it can't be deleted — cancel it instead so its invoices and history are preserved.)

4. Confirm the deletion

Click the Delete button in the dialog to confirm. The subscription is removed from your list immediately and a confirmation message appears.

5. The subscription is removed

The subscription drops out of the list right away and is moved to Trash, where it stays recoverable. That's all there is to it.

Delete vs. cancel — which should you use?

  • Delete is for subscriptions created in error. It lands the subscription in Trash and is best when no real billing relationship existed.
  • Cancel is for subscriptions that genuinely ended. Cancelling keeps the subscription (and its invoices) on record, so your billing history and reporting stay accurate. Use Cancel at period end to let service run out the current period, or Cancel immediately to stop billing right away.
  • A subscription that has already generated an invoice can't be deleted — cancel it instead.

Restoring a deleted subscription

Deletes are soft, so a removed subscription is kept in Trash and can be restored:

  • Open Settings → Trash.
  • Find the deleted subscription, then restore it to bring it back, or permanently delete it to remove it for good.
