Build the product catalog that powers subscription line items — open Products, click New Product, set the name and price, choose a recurring pricing model with a default billing frequency and term, and create it.

Maintain the tax-rate and discount catalogs your subscriptions draw from — create a named tax rate with a percentage and a discount that is either a percentage or a fixed amount, in Settings → Taxes & Discounts.
