A subscription in Cornerspot is a recurring billing relationship between one of your customers (an account) and your team. It's made up of line items billed on a schedule, and it generates invoices automatically each billing period. This guide shows you how to create one from scratch.
How to create a subscription in Cornerspot
Subscriptions live under Members & Billing in the left-hand menu. Here's the full path, start to finish.
1. Open the Subscriptions page
From the dashboard, select Subscriptions in the left-hand menu (under Members & Billing). This opens your subscriptions list, with a New Subscription button in the top-right corner.

2. Click “New Subscription”
Select New Subscription to open the form. You'll set the customer, the billing schedule, and the line items the subscription charges for.

3. Choose the customer
Use the Customer picker to choose the account this subscription bills. Start typing to search your accounts, then select the right one. The Currency defaults to your team's currency and can be changed if needed.

4. Set the billing schedule
Add an optional Description, then set the Billing frequency — Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, or Annual. Enter a Term (months) for a fixed-length subscription, or leave it blank for an open-ended one, and pick the Starts on date. The Auto-renew at term end and Auto-finalize generated invoices toggles are on by default.

5. Add line items
Click Add line item to add what the subscription charges for. Each line can be a product from your catalog or a custom one-off line, with its own quantity and unit price. The subtotal and total contract value update as you go. (Line items, taxes, and discounts can only be set while you're creating the subscription.)

6. Create the subscription
When everything looks right, click Create Subscription. Cornerspot saves it and opens the new subscription's detail page. It receives an id like SUB-000001. If the start date is today or earlier, the first invoice is generated immediately; a future start date schedules the first invoice for that day.

What happens next
- Recurring invoices: Cornerspot generates an invoice each billing period on the Next Invoice date — issued immediately when auto-finalize is on, or saved as a draft to review when it's off.
- Auto-pay: Customers can enable auto-pay in the member portal so each invoice is charged automatically.
- Changes: You can edit the description, term, and toggles later, but to change the line items, taxes, or discounts you cancel the subscription and create a new one.
- Lifecycle: Pause, resume, schedule a cancellation at period end, or cancel immediately from the detail page.
Tips
- Set up the product you're billing first so its price, frequency, and any default taxes pre-fill on the line item.
- Leave Term (months) blank for an ongoing subscription; enter a number to have it expire after a fixed term (unless auto-renew is on).
- Double-check the Starts on date — it sets the first period and, if it's today or earlier, triggers the first invoice right away.
