How to monitor and manage active agents in CornerSpot

As an admin you can see exactly who's handling live chats right now — and free up capacity when you need to. Everything lives on the Active agents tab in Live Chat Settings at /dashboard/chat/settings/active-agents. This guide walks through reviewing who's online and releasing a concurrent-connection slot.

How to monitor and manage active agents in CornerSpot

The Active agents tab pulls everything into one place: how many agents can be active at once, who's active right now, and everyone else on the team. Here's the quickest path, start to finish.

1. Open the “Active agents” tab

Go to Live Chat Settings and open the Active agents tab. The page loads with the quota meter on top, followed by the active-agent roster and the rest of your team.

2. Check the “Concurrent connections” meter

At the top, the Concurrent connections meter shows how many agents can be Active at the same time — for example “1 / 5 in use.” Each agent who flips to Active in the inbox consumes one slot until they switch to Away or Offline. (On plans that grant it, this reads “unlimited” and the meter is hidden.)

3. Review “Active right now”

The Active right now list shows each online agent with their avatar, name, and last-heartbeat time, so you can tell at a glance who's actually available to take chats.

4. See the rest of your team

Below that, Other team members lists everyone who isn't currently Active, along with their status (Away or Offline). Together the two lists give you the full picture of who could be on chat.

5. Free a slot with “Set offline”

If someone left themselves Active but isn't really around, click Set offline next to their row. CornerSpot moves them offline and immediately releases their concurrent-connection slot so another agent can go Active. A confirmation toast lets you know it worked.

When every slot is in use

If all of your concurrent-connection slots are taken, additional agents can't go Active until one frees up. You have two ways to make room:

  • Free a slot — set an active agent offline (above), or have a teammate switch themselves to Away or Offline in the inbox.
  • Add capacity — the Live Active Agents add-on grants 5 additional concurrent connections per purchase. Use the “+ Add 5 more slots” button on this tab (or Add Slots in the inbox presence popover) to add more.

Both Away and Offline free an agent's slot, so capacity is always something you and your team can manage in the moment.
