When a new live chat starts, CornerSpot can email the right teammates so no conversation is missed. The Notifications tab in Live Chat Settings lets you choose exactly who that is — a whole role, everyone, or a hand-picked list of people. This guide walks through each option.
How to choose who gets notified about new live chats
Notification recipients live on the Notifications tab in Live Chat Settings at /dashboard/chat/settings/notifications. You'll need admin access to change them.
1. Open the Notifications tab
From the Live Chat hub, open Live Chat Settings and switch to the Notifications tab. You'll see the “Notification recipients” options.

2. Pick who should be notified
Choose one of the recipient options:
- All admins — everyone with the admin role.
- All managers — everyone with the manager role.
- All representatives — everyone with the representative role.
- Everyone — admins, managers, and representatives together.
- Specific people — a hand-picked list of individual teammates.

3. (Optional) Choose specific people
Select Specific people to reveal a search box. Search by name or email, then click a teammate to add them — each appears as a removable chip, and you can clear one with its remove button. If you haven't added anyone yet, the picker shows “No teammates selected yet.”

4. Save your preferences
When your selection looks right, click Save preferences to store it. From then on, new live-chat notifications go to the recipients you chose.

Good to know
- Only active teammates are notified. A recipient who isn't an active team member won't be emailed about new chats.
- “Everyone” spans three roles. It covers admins, managers, and representatives — useful when any teammate might pick up a chat.
- Specific people is precise. Use it to route notifications to just the people who staff live chat, rather than a whole role.
- Changes apply when you save. Your selection takes effect as soon as you click Save preferences.
