How to send or resend a portal user's invitation in CornerSpot

When you invite someone to your members portal, Cornerspot emails them a link to set up their account and choose a password. Sometimes that first email gets missed, lands in spam, or the link expires before they get to it. When that happens you don't need to start over — you can send the invitation again in a single click. This guide shows you how.

How to send or resend a portal invitation in Cornerspot

Portal invitations are managed from the Portal Users page. Any user who has been invited but hasn't finished setting up their account yet has a quick Resend invitation action right on their row.

1. Open Portal Users

From the dashboard, open Members Portal in the left-hand menu, then choose Portal Users. You'll see every person who has been invited to your portal, along with their current invitation and membership status.

2. Find the person and check their status

Locate the user you want to reach and look at the Invitation column. A status of Pending means they were invited but haven't set a password yet — exactly the people you might want to nudge. (Once someone has accepted their invite and set a password, there's nothing left to resend, so the action no longer appears.)

3. Click the envelope (Resend invitation) icon

In that user's row, click the envelope icon in the Actions column. Hovering over it shows Resend invitation for someone who's already been invited, or Send invitation if their first email hasn't gone out yet. Either way, one click is all it takes.

4. Confirm the invitation was sent

Cornerspot confirms with an "Invitation sent" message, and a fresh invitation email goes out to the user right away — with a new link to finish setting up their account. There's nothing else to do.

What happens when you resend an invitation

  • A fresh email goes out: The user receives a new invitation message with a fresh sign-up link, so an expired or missed link is no longer a problem.
  • Nothing is lost: Their account, memberships, and contact record stay exactly as they were — resending only sends the email again.
  • The status stays accurate: Until they accept and set a password, the user remains Pending, so you can always tell who still needs to finish onboarding.

Tips

  • Double-check the email address first: If invitations keep going unanswered, open the user's record and confirm their email is correct before resending.
  • Filter by invitation status: Use the Filter by invitation control on the Portal Users page to quickly surface everyone who is still pending.
  • Resend from the detail page too: Opening a portal user's detail page gives you the same Resend invitation button alongside their full activity and membership history.
