How to review a portal user's status, sign-in activity, and memberships in CornerSpot

When a member can't sign in, or you simply want to check who has access to your portal, the portal user's detail page tells you everything at a glance: whether their account is active, how their invitation is going, when they last signed in, and which accounts they can reach. This guide walks through reviewing a portal user in Cornerspot.

How to review a portal user in Cornerspot

Everything you need lives on a single page — no digging through separate screens.

1. Open Portal Users and pick a person

From the dashboard, open Members Portal, then go to Portal Users. This list shows everyone who can sign in to your portal. Click the person you want to review to open their detail page.

2. Check the Status card

The Status card tells you whether the member's account is Active or Inactive (and flags a Locked account), along with their invitation state — invited, accepted, or pending — and when the invitation was sent and accepted. It also shows whether their email has been verified.

3. Review Sign-in activity

The Sign-in activity card shows the member's last sign-in, their total sign-ins, and any failed attempts. If an account becomes locked after too many failed attempts, you'll see when it was locked here — useful when someone reports they can't log in.

4. Look at the Contact card

The Contact card keeps the member's phone number handy, plus when the portal account was created and last updated — quick context for reaching out or seeing how recently anything changed.

5. See their Memberships

The Memberships section lists every account this member can access. Each membership has its own status, along with when it was invited, accepted, and last accessed — so you can see exactly which accounts a member can reach, and the state of each.

What you can do from here

The detail page is also where you act on what you find. From the buttons at the top you can:

  • Edit the member's name, email, phone, or password, and toggle their account active.
  • Send or resend an invitation if they haven't accepted yet.
  • Suspend a member to pause their access temporarily, then Reactivate them later.
  • Revoke access to cut off their portal access while keeping their record.
  • Delete the portal user entirely. This can't be undone — but it preserves the underlying contact and the account's history.

Tips for reviewing portal users

  • If a member says they can't sign in, check Sign-in activity first — a high failed attempts count or a locked account is usually the cause.
  • A pending invitation on the Status card means the member hasn't finished setting up — resend it from the top of the page.
  • Use Memberships to confirm a member can reach the right accounts, especially when one person works across several of your accounts.
