Sometimes a file is meant for one person only — a personalized contract, an onboarding packet, or an invoice copy. In Cornerspot you can share a document with a single portal user, and it shows up privately in their members portal for them to download. This guide shows you how.
How to share a document with one portal user in Cornerspot
Per-user documents are managed from each person’s detail page, in the Documents section. Anything you add there is visible only to that one portal user — no one else under their account can see it.
1. Open the portal user’s detail page
From the dashboard, open Members Portal in the left-hand menu, then choose Portal Users. Find the person you want to share a file with and click their row to open their detail page.

2. Go to the Documents section
On the detail page, scroll down to the Documents section. Files added here only appear for this portal user in the members portal — they’re private to them.

3. Click Upload document
Click Upload document to open the upload panel.
4. Add the file details
Give the document a Title (it falls back to the filename if you leave it blank) and an optional Description that the user will see. Then choose the file — Cornerspot accepts PDFs and images up to 10 MB.

5. Upload it
Click Upload document. The file is shared immediately and appears in this user’s documents list. You can reorder, edit, or remove it any time using the menu on its row.

What the portal user sees
When the user signs in to their members portal and opens Documents, your file is waiting under the “Just for you” section — visible only to them — ready to download.

Sharing documents more widely
- Share with an account: Upload a document on a CRM account’s Documents tab to share it with everyone who signs in under that account.
- Share with everyone: Use the Documents tab in Portal Settings to share a file with all of your portal users at once.
- Removing access: Deleting a per-user document removes it from that person’s portal right away — there’s nothing for them to do.
